BushCat Demo Team
At a flying club like Sanicole, Light Sport Aircraft absolutely deserve their moment in the spotlight — and this year, one will definitely steal the show with its debut performance in the Benelux: the SkyReach BushCat, brought to life by the Polish BushCat Demo Team.
Originating from South Africa, the SkyReach BushCat is a high-wing, two-seat Light Sport Aircraft designed as a kit-built bush plane with exceptional short take-off and landing capabilities. Powered by a 100-horsepower Rotax engine, this compact aircraft measures just 5.7 metres in length with a wingspan under 10 metres. It’s small in size, big in personality, and unforgettable in the air.
With a breathtaking +6 / -4 G performance envelope, the BushCat delivers a dynamic and energetic display that defies expectations. Agile, powerful, and full of character, it proves that great things truly come in small packages.
And then there’s the spectacle. By day, its striking black and fluorescent yellow colour scheme ensures all eyes are on the sky. By sunset, the BushCat transforms into a glowing aerial performer, illuminated with brilliant LEDs and enhanced by pyrotechnic effects that light up the evening sky. Add to that its very surprising sound, and you have a performance that engages every sense.
The aircraft will be presented by Dominik Motola of the Budujemy Samolot (“We Build a Plane”) project, adding an extra layer of passion and storytelling to this remarkable display.
Don’t miss the Benelux debut of the Polish BushCat Demo Team and join us on 12–13 September 2026 at Hechtel-Eksel, Belgium, for the International Sanicole Airshow — and witness how a small aircraft can deliver a truly big show.
